S.O.S (Save Our Stomachs)

OH MY GOODNESS. I don't mean to be over dramatic (okay, I mean to just a little bit...) but I have found the coolest cafe on the block (well, the Newtown, Sydney, block). Welcome to @cuckoocallaycafe. Not only do they serve the most colourful, delicious and vibrant food, but they also have a menu for customers to bring their...wait for it.... DOGS! (I'm sold). PLUS, they also have the best, freaking Ferrero Rocher milkshake i've had in a long time (I kinda inhaled it RIGHT after this photo was taken). And they aced the poached eggs, so, damn, good. So when I mean S.O.S (save our stomachs), I only mean so, as I have little to no self-control over their food. My poor stomach said stop, but my eyes said more! Definitely try this cafe at least once in your life. Next time, i'll be bringing the dog.

Island Parties

Island Parties. Who knew they existed, right? Well, apparently they do and they're a huge deal. And thanks to Channel V, they opened my eyes as to what I had been missing out on! Not only was the Island an actual deck-like venue, afloat in Sydney Harbour (with the BEST view in the house- the Opera House), but they also do the best, darn cocktails that i've had in a while (since the Shangri-La Hotel - shout out to them!) Despite my ever-lasting hate for mint, I still adore mojito's. Always have, always will.

Back to Work... Only if you Insist

After a WHIRLWIND trip across Europe, you think I would be sick of Ice Cream and desserts (*Cough* I'm looking at you Italy and France *Cough Cough*). But no, i'm not. Instead, I find myself diving head first into the desserts at @passiontreeaustralia. Luckily for me, I brought the gals along for a gals night to help me with all of this "work". (P.s. I'd totally recommend their fondue's and their chocolate bubble tea- just go with it!)

I Scream, You Scream, We all Scream for... Gelato?

If I could rewind time right now to have one of these babies, I would. Italy seriously is the King of Gelato. And yes, you and I would all be screaming for Gelato if we had the chance. Their gelato's are endless with their choices of flavours. Pictured here is Raspberry, Mango and Lemon. And they even included a biscotti on top? How thoughtful. Gelato's are particularly wonderful in Italy in the Summertime (which is when I went), because they're humidity, is through the roof!

Donut Disturb

@woahnellybakes is the new kid on the block, and she brings the best, darn, donuts in town. But seriously, she does. I was never that big of a donut fan, until she delivered me these serious goodies. Let me go through the flavours, shall I? (Yes please, I hear you all saying). Maple Bacon, Malteser, Homer Simpson (Pink), Salted Pretzel Caramel, Cookies n' Cream, Pistachio, Homer Simpson (Chocolate), Glazed and my personal favourite, the Cereal Crunch. *Drooling* just thinking about them! Get on this now! (Watch Pictured: @wanderlustwatches)

Ladies who Lunch

So my dear friend @charhowels_ and I have found our favourite new brunch spot. 'Bread and Circus'. Not only is it healthy, with lunch boxes full of goodies to make your own "sandwiches", but they also have the best juice and pinkest teacups i've ever seen. If you haven't visited this place, it's a must.

Feast for a King (Or should I say Queens?)

The Green Peppercorn Hotel in Sydney's central city region is some of the best Thai food that i've had to date (and i've had a lot of Thai food). We had so much food, that I felt as though I was rolling my way out of the restaurant. The satay-chicken skewers and their sweet, chilli-jam and cashew nut stir-fry was to die for. Made my love for Thai food double- no, triple!

Starbucks - Love at first sip

Now, I never really tried Starbucks back at home, in Sydney. Probably because we only have 2-3 stores within the city itself. So I was quite surprised to find a Starbucks at almost every place I visited across London. Picking this one up from Waterloo station on a particularly rainy and cold day (typical London weather), I finally understood why so many people were obsessed. Even though I don't drink coffee, this hot chocolate was perfect! And the tea wasn't so bad either!  😏

VIP's

Arriving back in Sydney in a whirlwind of events and meetings has kept me busy from sulking about leaving my European Adventure behind me.  So having a VIP treatment at the Pier One Hotel was just what I needed. Bringing along with me my lovely new friend, @anjanissen. We had a Sunday morning brunch of desserts and glasses of Moët. Not too shabby. Not too shabby at all.

Kickstart

Upon arriving home to Sydney (after a whirlwind trip around Europe), i'll admit that it was good to come home and actually eat healthy food.  Not only that, but I got the chance to sit down and write new chapters of my book (after a few months of writer's block!) Weeeee!

Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel

This is a venue that I have always wanted to visit, but have never gotten around to it. Until now. And boy, am I glad that I did Watsons Bay BH. Your food was incredible. ❤️⚓️ I left feeling as though you had put me in a food coma. Not only that, but the view of Sydney's Skyline behind you and the blue and white striped umbrellas that line the balconies of your restaurant made me nostalgic for the Nice (from my recent trip to Europe). So you ticked all the boxes for me, as to why you were the perfect place to visit, eat and drink. Thank you to EVH PR for introducing us. I'll be back again for sure.

Passiontree

Passiontree, oh, Passiontree. You had me at 'Peanut Butter Waffle'. ❤️ With your bright, white walls and comfy cushions. Not to mention, your food. And having Macarons in the Chocolate fondue? Genius.

Borough Markets

Prior to leaving for Europe, people often told me that London was known to have terrible food. But I think they never visited the Borough Markets in London. Because I was blown away. Never   have I seen or eaten such amazing organic food. Never have I seen such incredible organic vegetables and fruit, cakes, fudge, goat's milk ice cream, cookies, fresh juices, curries, hot dogs, pastries and even iced coffee. If you're ever  in London. I definitely, definitely recommend it. A HUGE thank you to AWOL Australia for this incredible trip. I will be forever grateful for the memories you helped me create.

The Missing Piece... To my Heart

There is nothing better than stumbling across a little cafe, which then turns into your go-to home for food and coffee every week.  The Missing Piece Cafe, in Sydney, is just that place. Not only do they have incredible food, cronuts and milkshakes (dear, God. The milkshakes... 😍) but they have little Puzzle Pieces all over their napkins, menu's and tables. Just thinking of their food is making me hungry!

Let Me Tell You About A Little Place Called...

The Choc Pot.

Got you curious enough yet? The. CHOC. Pot.

Yes. You read correctly. A place where they sell nothing but sweet-sugary goodness. Maybe a little too good. Never have I left disappointed. (Sorry Max Brennar, but you better keep up with this sweet place!)

Cookies & Cream Milkshakes, S'More Waffles, Fudge Brownie Sundaes and a Chocolate Fondue (enough to induce you into a heavenly Chocolate coma). That's not even all of it. Gulp.

And yes. I roll out of their stores every.single.time.

Brunch for Two

Brunch is better when you have somebody to share it with. What's even better is when you have that person to share incredible food with. And that place being  @threewilliamscafe . Seriously, this is the best food I've had in such a long time. I've been recommending it to a lot of my friends. If you haven't visited, make sure you do! We had the Organic French Toast and Poached Eggs + Haloumi + Mushrooms. I think I died and went to Brunch Heaven. Sigh.

From Unhealthy to Healthy

I often struggle between choosing between the healthy options of food and the unhealthy. Doesn't everybody though? Yeah, I thought so. I often bounce between a few weeks of healthy eating to a few unhealthy ones. I think the best thing to do is just not go overboard on the bad stuff. Most of my unhealthy food shots are often foods I share with people (especially my poor boyfriend, Alex, who often eats the left overs of my food, as I honestly don't eat that much!) But saying this, I do love to indulge. Like I did with my Chocolate Malt and Malteser's Milkshake *DROOL* from an American Diner in Sydney. Saying this though, I do love a good old fresh-pressed juice. Like the ones I tried from Prod Juice. Nobody's perfect though!

Make Friends, With Food

Making new friends can sometimes be a little difficult. But not when it comes to befriending a bunch of lovely Instagrammers. One's who all understand your love for food and love for photographing your food. Devon Cafe, despite having a 45 minute wait, your food was delicious. And now I can say, I totally understand why. Props to the food Flatlay master, @koentadyy.

I Heart Melbourne

When I planned to visit Melbourne, I didn't think I would get so attached to it, as a city. Nor did I think I would find a cafe that I would actually physically miss. I grew really attached to Leroy's Cafe in Newport (just outside of Melbourne). Melbourne was fun. Like Sydney. But somewhat friendlier and less chaotic. It reminded me of Europe. Yet it reminded me of San Francisco. While all at the same time, it reminded me a hell of a lot like New York. It's the strangest thing. But I think that's why I fell in love with Melbourne. Besides the wonderful food and city, it was the way it made me lust for other cities within itself.
